Art and poetry to get lost in - Mixed Media on Canvas from Damien Kamholtz and a poem from Rumi. Thank you to Elise and Janet for sharing these with me.

Quietness

Inside this new love, die.
Your way begins on the other side.
Become the sky.
Take an axe to the prison wall.
Escape.
Walk out like somebody suddenly born into color.
Do it now.
You’re covered with thick cloud.
Slide out the side.
Die,
and be quiet. Quietness is the surest sign
that you’ve died.
Your old life was a frantic running
from silence.

The speechless full moon
comes out now.

Very lovely Chrisy. That art is astounding actually - so fresh and imaginative! Rumi is always good - I must hunt out some more!

Hope you doing OK and that you have settled into your new house. It's always such a delight when you put up a post - I and very possibly many others have missed them! XOXO's

What interesting artworks.
Lovely poem, I wish I could escape at the moment, or maybe fast forward a year. I love the line- walk out like somebody suddenly born into colour.

Hope you are well Chrisy.

oooh, these paintings are beautiful, and so inspiring. I love how the figures emerge from the mist of the white. Love them, thanks for sharing.

aw chrisy, this is eye candy of the best kind. i love the transparent look of the paintings, and the poem is a kick-up wake up call!

thanks for visiting me. i am going to try to come here more regularly. i wonder if most of us have a system for who get visited and when; i don't seem to!

Wow, I love those art pieces! My favourite is the third one down, it brings back good memories of my childhood tree climbing days.

Wow. I love that milky finish over the images themselves. It makes everything look sort of like the cover to Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury. Lovely.
